 NUBIROX (Non toxic anticorrosive pigments)

The need for non-toxic products has been increasing lately, especially in the field of anticorrosive primers and paints, since most pigments used until now were "chromates" or lead compounds.

For two decades, Zinc Phosphate has been the standard non-toxic pigment used instead of Chromates.

Due to their great efficiency and superior characteristics,
Nubirox pigments, modified phosphates treated chemically featuring a special particle design, make up the new generation of non-toxic anticorrosive pigments.

A new series designed to prevent flash-rusting in a wide variety of water-based coatings on ferrous metal, galvanized and aluminum without detracting from the long-term performance properties of the system.
The Nubirox FR series consists of 2 products:
• Nubirox FR-10: Nitrite-based liquid flash-rust inhibitor
• Nubirox FR-20: Nitrite-free liquid flash-rust inhibitor.
Prevention of Flash-Rusting that occurs when a Water-Based coating is applied directly to a metal surface; prevention of Flash-Rusting in the production or storage of Water-Based coatings in a metal container; stabilization of metal surfaces in water-blasting processes.
 Nubirox N2
Standard Zinc Phosphate. Micronised.
Primer in aqueous solution or with organic solvent.
 Nubirox SP
Zinc Phosphate of specially designed spheric particule size distribution.
Primer in aqueous solution or with organic solvent. Excellent results with fine coats and low pigment concentrations.
 Nubirox 213 *
Multiphase pigment consisting of hydrated Zinc and Iron Phosphates.
Greatly compatible pigment with all types of resins. Good cost-performance ratio.
 Nubirox 215
Multiphase pigment consisting of hydrated basic Zinc and Iron Phosphates.
Excellent results in air-drying systems, provided they are compatible with basic pigments.
 Nubirox 102 *
Organophilized Zinc Phosphate - Molybdate.
Highly efficient white coloured pigment in aqueous solution or with organic solvent. Allows work with high pigment concentrations.
 Nubirox 106 *
Small particle Zinc Phosphate/Molybdate multiphase pigment with surface treatment to increase the similarity between pigment and binder.
White coloured pigment well-suited for fine coats (both water and dissolvant borne based). Highly efficient in aqueous solutions. Coil Coating.
 Ecomin B
Zinc and Iron Phosphate based orange coloured pigment. Non-toxic substitute for Red Lead.
Air-drying, alkyd primers.
