" Ultramarine Blue occupies a unique position in the blue
color space that can not be reached by any other pigment or blend
of pigments. The reddish undertone of Ultramarine Blue, highly
appreciated both in mass tone and tint applications, makes the
pigment clearly differentiated from any Blue Phthalocyanine and
any Cobalt Blue, even if they are in combination with organic
violet pigments as P.V.23 or P.V.19.
The new NUBICOAT range consists of 2 products NUBICOAT HTS (High
Tinting Strength) and NUBICOAT HWR (High Weather Resistance) that
intends to fill the most important technical gaps that have historically
limited a wider use of Ultramarine Blue in the manufacturing of
blue paints: the low tinting strength (vs organic Blue Pigments)
and the market perception that it is not highly weather resistant,
respectively.

Blue and Violet are very suitable for blue and violet colouration
respectively as well as for white correction applications.
Ultramarine
Blue provides a unique and bright reddish blue shade in Decorative
Paints, both for indoor and outdoor applications .
Ultramarine
Blues specifically coated to achieve a high resistance to acids
are suitable for high performing Industrial Paints.
In
some very specific paints that require high transparency e.g.
metallic paints, Ultramarine Pigments can provide a unique blue/violet
colouration with a low hiding power. Some applications of this
might be paints for bikes and for motorbikes.
Ultramarine
