Anticorrosive pigments are pigments that act as corrosion inhibitors in a wide spectrum of Coatings formulations.
The technology to prevent corrosion in metal structures by using anticorrosive pigments has been one of the most rapidly evolving ones in the last decades. The driver of such development has been the fact that some of the most popular pigments used for such application were declared dangerous substances for human health and the environment. This happened, among others, to Zinc Chromate, Zinc Tetraoxychromate and Strontium Chromate. In 2004 Zinc Phosphate was also classified as harmful for the aquatic media by the European Directive 2004/73/CE and hence it required special labelling.
Nubiola has adapted his value proposition to that market trend and offers a wide range of “Non Toxic High Performance Anticorrosive Pigments”, the Nubirox range, manufactured with a unique proprietary technology. The Nubirox range consists of 3 different series: 100, 200 and 300.
